Elle Varner's currently prepping her album 4 Letter Word for release later this year, and word on the street is that her next single, "Birthday," will feature 50 Cent. Before all that, though, she drops something to hold us over, a loosie entitled "The End Of The Beginning." Listen to it below.
Beginning with a lyrical reference to Kanye West's "All Falls Down," Varner continues on in a relatively free-form fashion over a gorgeous beat from DJ Camper. We're more used to hearing her sing, but here, she's mostly rapping, and showing that she's not too shabby at that either.
What do you think of Varner's latest?
Quotable Lyrics
I ain't put out a song in a year
What if I bare my heart and soul again and nobody cares?
Blood, sweat and tears dissipating in the air, so unfair
I hold my breath, more or less, I'm so stressed
