With not one project to his name, Playboi Carti has managed to continually heighten his buzz in the industry. Still, he hasn't necessarily been stalling on purpose. It has now come to our attention that the first project of Carti's three-year career will be an Interscope-released album, and not a mixtape.
“That @playboicarti album soon come.. we r just dealing with some technical issues," Joie Manda, Interscope's President of Urban Music, tweeted last night, as reported by XXL.
It's unclear what the album revelation means for the status of the long-awaited Cash Carti, which was thought to be a mixtape.
The Atlanta rapper recently dropped two collaborations with Lil Uzi Vert: "Lookin" and "Woke Up Like This." Below are two snippets of music -- with accompanying visuals -- that will presumably be on Carti's debut project.
