Here at HNHH, we've been impatiently awaiting the return of Ugly Frank, the Pacific Northwest rapper who dropped the fantastic Bobby Hill EP in Spring 2014 and then went silent for about a year. Today, he returns with his group ILLFIGHTYOU, who share "Flash," the first track from their upcoming CASHINTHEBATHROOM EP.
Opening with a choice "Aliens" sound bite, the song then explodes out of the gate with a squelchy bassline, delightfully sloppy-sounding percussion and some foreboding backing vocals. Frank and Khris P both deliver thrilling verses that name-check everything from Whole Foods to Naomi Campbell, and running lyrical circles around the competition with every bar.
