It's been almost ten years since Memphis Bleek released his last album, 534, and despite some random freestyles and guest appearances (including a "Sh!t" remix), it's safe to say that the world has sorely been missing him. Today, he returns with a new single entitled "Not The Same," which also features King A1.
Produced by Speezy and Balistic Beats, the song fades in with icy synth chords and a hook from King A1 before Bleek starts spitting some of his typical Brooklyn realness. His sound's definitely been updated for the 2010s, but Memphis Bleek is sounding better than ever on this new cut.
Quotable Lyrics
Everybody say they ball, but we all don't play the same
Your rosé is Moet, so this pink bottle don't taste the same
Niggas say they livin' but your bank account don't say the same
Plus you said you run your hood but your hood don't say the same
