When we were out at Action Bronson's "South By South Wonderful" event, Vince Staples left us in shock and awe when he dropped an unreleased Future collaboration. Beyond the fact that we never expected to see those two on the same track, it also went ridiculously hard. Today, he's dropped the track, titled "Señorita" and also featuring Snoh Aalegra.
As it turns out, the track isn't a straight-up collab, as Future's hook is composed of lyrics sampled from his Honest track "Covered N Money." Definitely a change of pace for Staples, the track nevertheless finds him staying true to his impeccable lyrical focus, not letting the uncharacteristically trappy surroundings dumb him down in the least.
What do you think? Better or worse than Staples' other material?
Update: A rep from Def Jam has informed us that Snoh Aalegra is not on this track.
