Kendrick Lamar's new favorite rapper (AKA Earl Sweatshirt) just shared a project, I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside, last month, but today, he's giving us another ten minutes of new music. Presented as a series of brief tracks in one suite-like ten minute composition, this one's called "Solace" and is dedicated to his mother.
Even more jazz-influenced than IDLSIDGO, this track (tracks?) bears a little brighter of a tone, despite its introspective and somber vibe throughout. This is perfectly described by Earl in the description, "music from when i hit the bottom and found something."
Let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics
To tell the truth I miss my patna dem
To tell the truth you can't be loud when you the wrongest, fam
To tell the truth I'm at a loss of friends
But time waits for no man and death waits for cold hands
I'm the youngest old man that you know
If your soul intact, let me know
