Dopeboy Dreaming

Mike Floss releases his first single from his upcoming mixtape, with production from Ducko Mcfli.

This is the first song we've heard from Nashville native Mike Floss, but it's already got us hooked. The tumultuous production from Ear Drummers' Ducko Mcfli helps propel this song even further. The whistling beat tumbles alongside Floss' flow, before stuttering mid-way and slowing down for a few seconds. It's hard to say who has more star power here, Floss or Ducko. If there's one thing to take away, it's that the two have great chemistry. Floss says of the record, "We locked it down in Atlanta with the goal of creating our own sound and that was the push I needed to become a better songwriter and tell my story. I started performing dope boy at clubs before it was even finished and knew I had something."

Hopefully we can expect more tracks like "Dopeboy Dreaming" on Mike Floss' debut mixtape, Don't Blame the Youth. And now would be a great time for you to go read our Behind The Beat profile with Ducko Mcfli, where he speaks on Mike Floss.

Quotable Lyrics

12 years a slave whipping like a drug lord
From a boat to a yacht to Barrack door
Chop chop chop chop, what you war for?
They ain't stop making guns when they made yours
