Young Thug dropped Barter 6 nine days ago, and now he's already releasing new material. Today he gives us an upbeat, crisply produced track by the name of "Dance." "Dance" will appear on 3rdy Baby The DJ & Muzik Fene's upcoming tape Young Thug vs. Lil Wayne: Trap Kombat 2. Which, based on the name and Thug-Wayne face mashup on the cover, looks rather promising.
Thug's delivery blurs the line between singing and rapping, and he's at his best on "Dance" when he's hanging out more on the rapping end of the spectrum. Some of his melodies on the second half of the track are oddly reminiscent of the lines ILoveMakonnen employs on on "Tuesday." The beat knocks regardless.
The HNHH community gave Barter 6 a 31%, almost certainly an all-time low. Hopefully y'all are feeling "Dance" a bit more.
Quotable Lyrics:
That paper fatter than a waffle
Y'all mothafucka crossed off it
He ain't rich pop the collar imposter
Called me like a disaster, big block like a rasta
