Jadakiss takes us back to 1989 today with his latest freestyle for DJ Envy. Kiss has been on a freestyle tip lately, dropping off two Jay Z freestyles, "Y'all Haters," and "Where I'm From," and he continues to keep things NY with a freestyle over Big Daddy Kane's "Young, Gifted & Black," which originally appeared on his album It's a Big Daddy Thing. Kiss' gritty voice work perfectly with the slightly jazzy record, and although the beat is old, he keeps the subject matter current, even dropping a reference to Bruce Jenner transitioning to a woman.
Are you feeling all of Jadakiss' old school freestyles?
Quotable Lyrics
Say it take a real wolf to expose true sheep
You ain't got enough heart, your soul's too weak
Probably scared to get dirty, your clothes too fleek
Haa, what I smoke you can't burn it
The crown has to be passed down you can't earn it
The shit that I do in the booth you can't learn it
When a knife is stuck in your neck you can't turn it
