L.A. rapper Mani Coolin impressed us with last month's Hope 4 the Youth mixtape, and now he's back with "Yeah, Yeah", a slow-burning, West Coast chiller that's a good introduction to Mani's confident yet collected flow. After his quick-fire verses, Mani pauses to sing, "It's that Westside shit, yeah, yeah", and we agree wholeheartedly.
Mani was a recent guest on Iamsu & Rome Fortune's "Eyes on Me", and on Hope 4 the Youth he collab'd with Big Gipp (of Goodie Mob), Cozz, and Niko G4. After hearing "Yeah, Yeah", we're ready for more solo ouput.
L.A. folk--you can catch Mani & Niko G4 at Los Globos on May 7. Tix here.
Quotable Lyrics
But now I hardly stress, independent gettin' checks
Given 'em hope, given 'em truth
I'm doin' me, I don't know about you
You niggas be frauds, can't hang with the squad
