Here at HNHH, it's no secret that we're big fans of Alex Wiley, the Chicago rapper signed to promising indie label Closed Sessions (check out our recent interview with him here). That's why, when we got word of a new Closed Sessions signee, we had to immediately throw his latest track up on the site. So this is Evanston native Kweku Collins, and he's making his HNHH debut with "Start A Fire."
Inhabiting the same feel-good, freeform musical space as many of Wiley's best songs, this track has Collins singing a Jamaican-sounding hook before busting some slick verses over the organ-led beat. Let us know if you're digging this.
Quotable Lyrics
Baby just a metaphor ahead of the matador
Red flag already he wavin' it's
A beautiful tapestry, gallery
Showcasin' all the joy in our galaxy
