Visionary Music Group's Jon Bellion dropped off his last project, The Definition, in September, and since then, we really haven't heard from him at all. Today, he ends the drought with a new one called "Woodstock." It seems to be loosely based around the singer imagining himself at the 1969 festival, although the song itself sounds about as far from the festival's rock and roll as you can get.
Instead, Bellion comes off sounding like synth-poppy, sort of like a more mature Owl City, and provides a quirky instrumental to back himself up. He sings about acid, Jimi Hendrix and Coachella, making for a pretty wacky song.
Quotable Lyrics
A voice said "I am Hendrix, let me know your name"
Yeah you, come look into the music and you won't feel pain
