From one listen to "Weakness", you wouldn't assume the hardened bass voice of Edward Raps belonged to an 18-year-old, and you certainly wouldn't think his traditional boom bap styles were coming straight out of Texas. As much as Edward is full of surprises, he works within a tried-and-true formula, one that doesn't quite work if you don't have the chops to back it up. In both production and bars, the southern rapper proves that what he misses in originality, he makes up for in well-honed skill. There aren't many weaknesses on display here.
"Weakness" has placed Edward among this week's final four Heatseekers. If you like to have your song or video featured on the site, you can submit content to us here.
Quotable Lyrics:
I've been working on my weaknesses
Understand what team this is
You niggas really wouldn't wanna be this shit
