The past two days have found Big K.R.I.T. popping up more than once. It's been a minute since he's dropped off new music, but after giving us a SXSW jam "B4SXSW" yesterday, he returns today with "K.R.I.T. 4eva (Chapter One)." He also has a nice verse on Childish Major and Matik Estrada's "Keep Running" which dropped minutes prior to this.
"K.R.I.T. 4eva," besides referencing Krizzle's past mixtapes, finds the Southern rapper in a reflective state. In a stream-of-consciousness flow, K.R.I.T. questions his past moves in the rap game, all of which have brought him to the point he's at today. On Soundcloud K.R.I.T. writes, "Looking back on all the things I went through to get here. It was all worth it. It's a blessing that I can write about it all."
Quotable Lyrics
A whole lot of cursing, who the fuck is K.R.I.T.?
Another acronym that don't stand for shit
And when it come to names that's as bad as it get
Fast forward ten years, now who don't know K.R.I.T.?
Two albums on the shelf, I beat the sophomore jinx
I lost a couple friends over ends, we don't speak
I'm thinking this must be what God really want for me
Top floor, reminiscing, Lord I can't sleep
