Jordan Brand is getting weird with the iconic Air Jordan 11. Not only is a unique "Red Velvet" Air Jordan 11 reportedly releasing later this year, but this recently unveiled "Suede" joint is also on tap before we head into 2017.
According to SneakerNews, the inspiration for this unique Air Jordan 11 came from Rhome Simpkins, a kid born with Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome who designed the grey sueded 11s as part of Jordan Brand's Make-A-Wish experience. This explains why the first pair that surfaced had "RS" embossed onto the suede upper.
Thus far, we've seen the "RS" pair that features a completely white midsole and outsole, as well as some newer images that are built on a translucent cream-flavored outsole. The latter is reportedly the pair that will release (for $400!) this Holiday season.
Suede, nubuck, wool, whatever they are it is certainly a bizarre look for the beloved Air Jordan 11 and something that a lot of sneakerheads are slamming with trashcan emojis, while others are already setting aside some cash for the $400 Js.
Take a look at the latest batch of images of the "Suede" Air Jordan 11 and let us know if you're digging the new movement by Jordan Brand.
