Before taking the stage at S.O.B.’s tonight in NYC, Slum Village decide to come through and share the second leak off their upcoming Yes album called “Push It Along” featuring Phife Dawg (of a Tribe Called Quest).
Hopping on this piano-laced Young RJ-produced beat, Slum Village deliver another classic Detroit-sounding cut, that's highlighted their usual smooth rhymes and slick bars. Serving as the follow up to last month’s “E(I)GO” release, “Push It along” is another strong addition to growing catalogue of hits. Look for Yes to impact later this year.
Stream the new collab and share your thoughts below. (Don’t miss Slum Village on tour right now with Pete Rock either. Peep those tour dates in the artwork)
Quotable Lyrics:
Coming from the urban city ghettos
But we still King, queen, natural born rebels
Black tails, crack sales
Heavy boat of pebbles, we’da push it along
