UK producers have become increasingly inspired by American hip hop over the last few years, and The Purist one of quite a few who's been reaching out to rising rappers for overseas collaborations. He certainly has good taste, teaming up with Danny Brown, Tree, and Mick Jenkins in the past, and today he's announced his upcoming project, Pyrex Scholar, which will surely run with the same formula.
Along with the album news, Purist shared a new collab with 2014 mystery Your Old Droog. Fittingly, the producer laces the Nas-esque emcee with a groovy 90s boom bap loop. Look out for the album later this year.
Quotable Lyrics:
People can never say we lost
Can't wash up like it's brown water
Coming out the faucet
Or when it's colder than a witches tit
