Fashawn is set to release his long-anticipated sophomore album next week, and after dropping off a brand new record on Monday, he returns once again with the stacked "Something to Believe In". Over a hard loop from the legendary DJ Khalil, Fashawn is joined by both Aloe Blacc, as well as one of the most respected emcees in hip hop history -- Nas. Seeing that his new album, The Ecology, is coming through Mass Appeal records, the co-sign makes sense, but makes it no less of a blessing.
The horn-led beat makes for a perfect backdrop to the furious rhymes and melodies of all those involved. Look out for the album February 24th.
Quotable Lyrics:
We entering the age of Aquarius
Where Ukrainian armies
And U.S. National Guard tensions flaring up
So unforgiving is the universe when you don't listen
It's all written, that soul-quenching gold you're missing
