HNHH Premieres a new cut from 19-year old SedRoc, "Club 27."

At the end of January we were introduced to a new collective, the Sleeper Camp, by way of rapper Jimi Tents. He dropped off "Elmer Fudd" which fared really well on the site. We reached out to the Sleeper team to see what else they got going on, and that's how we ended up with the premiere of SedRoc's "Club 27." SedRoc is not only a rapper but a producer from the crew, currently residing in NYC.

Similar to "Elmer Fudd" there is nothing hype about "Club 27". In fact this is probably the most turnt down record we've ever heard about turning up, and it's also one of the most unique concepts we've heard in a minute. In a conversational manner, over a lullaby-like instrumental, SedRoc flips "27 Club" to "Club 27", imagining a nightclub with some of the many rockstars that have passed away at the age of 27 (often due to a drug overdose/suicide). He sees Amy Winehouse ordering a drink, gets a spliff from Jimi Hendrix, hollers at Kurt Cobain and tries heroin with Janis Joplin.

Quotable Lyrics

And Janis Joplin got me hoppin' to The Beatles now
Sniffin' happy trails and like a doc she pull a needle out
Says she'll give me something to relax
I put the needle in her hand, and turned my back
Like I was 'bout to get attacked
And I be grateful if I only live to 27
