Amid all the reported Wu-Tang drama of late, as well the a disappointing A Better Tomorrow, let's remember the individual Clan members haven't lost any of their talent. The 48-year-old GZA, "The Genius," hasn't released an album since 2008. Now we get "The Mexican," the first single off his upcoming album Dark Matter, which will be released some time this Spring. Dark Matter has been in the works for a few years now, and with songs like "The Mexican," it's easy to see why.
Though GZA is the lead producer on the track, he's enlisted former Rage Against the Machine (and Audioslave) guitarist Tom Morello. Also on the track is Ruban Nielson, of psych-pop outfit Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and guitarist Hanni El Khatib. The song sample's the 1972 Babe Ruth (the band) song of the same name. Obviously, no one else is making hip-hop like this in 2015.
Will Dark Matter be the next great Wu album?

Used his connections, everything traversal
