Boogie is back. The West Coast native garnered himself some buzz last year, with the release of his exceptional debut mixtape Thirst 48. That was in the summer, and after letting us listen to it on repeat all winter, the rapper is finally ready to give fans new music. If you've seen basically any of Boogie's music videos, you know that he's father-- his son pops up in the fan-favorite "Bitter Raps" visuals, among others.
On his first release of 2015, "Further," Boogie raps about fatherhood, and social issues that face him and his young son. The production from Keyel is in a similar vein as Thirst 48-- chilled out with a hint of jazz. A smooth listen for your Monday morning blues.
This serves as the first leak off Boogie's follow up to Thirst 48, titled The Reach. Stay tuned for more info on that, and peep Boogie's On The Come Up episode with us below.
