DJ Khaled's "Hold You Down" proved that the R&B crew track could actually work, and Ne-Yo has decided to run with the concept on his new "She Knows" remix, where he forms something of an unofficial crooner supergroup with The-Dream and The-Dream.
The record sounds the most like Trey territory, but with the many writing credits to their name, we know Ne-Yo and The-Dream can fit in just about anywhere. So "Hold You Down" ends up being a pretty seamless R&B jam, built off of a clubby synth riff, and later exploding into a lushly orchestrated chorus.
