With his 2014 album, Kidnapped, ATL-via-BK rapper/producer Wara From The NBHD showed us his many skills, which range from vividly detailed storytelling to grandiose, on-point production. Lucky for us, new material from the young phenom is not far off. On January 26th, he'll be releasing an EP by the name of If Guns Could Speak, and today he's given us our first taste in "Brockett Road Rage."
A hard-edged, rock-influenced cut, the track was co-produced by Wara and Henry Shoultz. It opens with Wara rapping ferociously about cops "exterminating" his whole generation, spitting like a young Zach De La Rocha on the track.
Quotable Lyrics
Been rappin' 'bout the bullshit
Been packin' my ammo for the fuckin' hypocrites
Been defined by color, no blood nor crip
Been reppin' my hood like a fuckin' immigrant
