This is a dope look. After Eminem and Shady Records put out the "Detroit Vs. Everybody" record featuring the city's highest-profile rappers, now the label has shared an official remix that gives under-appreciated rappers the spotlight. Helmed by Trick Trick, the new remix features Dej Loaf (who gets a verse of her own this time), Guilty Simpson, Black Milk, Sino, Marv Won, Payroll, Hydro, Boldy James, Big Gov, Kid Vishis, Big Herk, Icewear Vezzo, Detroit Che, Calicoe & Diezel the Hitman.
The most noteworthy thing here is DeJ Loaf rising from her role of hooksmith on the original to turn in an incredible verse that can easily hang with those of her collaborators.
Quotable Lyrics
Eastside, raised on that Eastside
We just throw our pinkies up along with the peace sign
Fairview street sign, who the fuck are these guys?
Niggas want war, we make 'em feel it, touch they g-spot
Grandma sold pies, and I ain't talkin' 'bout no key lime
Junkies at the side door, make sure that ain't five-o
They done set her up, they done hit her with that combo
They done let the dogs out, house smellin' like Pine-Sol
