When a fifteen-year-old kid signs a $1.5 million dollar contract with Warner Music Group, he damn well better back up those digits with some real talent. Fortunately, Chris Miles has more than lived up to the expectations set for him. Following up two VERY HOTTTTT certified singles, the youngin' is back with "Topic Of Discussion." Produced by Statik Selektah (who seems to be everywhere nowadays), the record finds Miles continuing to impress, proving to be both lyrically and technically far above his grade level.
Is Miles an artist who's going to go the distance and breakthrough on a mainstream level? Check out "Topic Of Discussion" and let us know what you're thinking.
Birth of Cool hits stores on December 15th.
Quotable Lyrics:
And I promise when I leave that they'll remember me
I'mma be a star at the top; forget a Christmas tree
Statik killed this beat. Now I'mma make sure
That I do the same, so I could blow like a claymores
I know my mind sharper than the blade of a chainsaw
They say this not a real job, but I never take no days off
