Given the acclaim his last few tracks have earned on these pages, I think it's safe to say that DJ JS-1 is about as "profeshional" as hip-hop DJs come nowadays. On a new album single, the NY representative grabs top-notch verses from Ill Bill and Slaine, both of whom are similarly well-received on their solo material. Given the histories of those involved, expectations are high on "Profeshionals". Fortunately, this is a trio that is up to the task.
Give "Profeshionals" a listen and let us know what you think. If you haven't heard it yet, JS-1's It Is What It Isn't is (or isn't) in stores now.
Quotable Lyrics:
People think I've changed
I'm the same as I ever was
Bigger balls, registered guns,
Money, and better drugs
