After delivering the serene, glossy track "Medication Meditation" with Krayzie Bone the other day, Flying Lotus decides to drop another track (albeit a very different-sounding one) from the new "Grand Theft Auto V" soundtrack. Masked oddball DOOM is the guest rapper this time, and "Masquatch" is the name of the track.
This time, FlyLo's in a grimier mode, turning out a tribally-fueled instrumental that almost sounds like something DOOM could've made himself. AS is his habit, DOOM hovers a little under the beat, spouting off lines chock full of internal rhymes, assonance and consonance. A dope, unconventional track right here.
