When it came time for Thelonius Martin to begin crafting his new album Wunderkind, he clearly had a nice rolodex of rappers to hit up. Joey Bada$$, Chance The Rapper, Mac Miller, Action Bronson, Curren$y, Freeway, Ab-Soul, Vic Mensa, Boldy James, and GLC will all appear on the project, which drops on December 2nd. Today, Martin's shared "Atlantis," the lead single that features Spitta Andretti and Domo.
Beginning with a sample of the German prog-rock band Eloy's 1977 track "Atlantis' Agony at June 5th - 8498, 13 p.m. Gregorian Earthtime," "Atlantis" then cuts the proggy instrumental with a neck-snapping beat that perfectly compliments the pair of dope verses.
Quotable Lyrics
Hail mary, leave rappers in mortuaries
What's a half-assed track to a savage? Of course it's scary
A monster and a half, I'm a master, my corpses buried
I'm an urban legend, something like Gary or Bloody Mary
