On paper, the duos AlunaGeorge and Rae Sremmurd have very little in common. The former are a British electronic duo who make slinky, subtle tracks that blur the lines between pop and the underground; the latter are a couple of upstart kids from Tupelo who make squeaky, indelibly turnt up club tracks under the tutelage of Mike WiLL. But on Brooklyn DJ Baauer's new track "One Touch," you'd never know that their respective styles were worlds apart.
Synthesizing these very different force is Baauer, the young producer behind 2012's "Harlem Shake" craze. He carves out a perfect arrangement wherein Aluna handles the hooks and the Sremm Lifers rap verses -- it's safe to say that "One Touch" was a substantial risk that paid off.
This is the lead single from Baauer's ß EP, dropping on November 3rd.
Quotable Lyrics
1800's bubblin' in a nigga's stomach
Three girls, so that mean I'm here jugglin'
She might have a man, I might have a girl
But neither of 'em at the club, so who give a fuck?
