Chicago producer A-Villa has been able to corral some big names for his debut album, Carry On Tradition. Earlier this month, he linked up with Big K.R.I.T., Termanology and Inspectah Deck for "The Colosseum," the first track we'd heard from the project, and now Action Bronson, Roc Marciano and Willie The Kid step up to assist him on "Live From The Villa."
Utilizing a classic drum break, spine-tingling underlying synths and dramatic strings, "Live From The Villa" sounds downright creepy. Roc Marciano is no stranger in these waters, as his solo work often sounds cut from the same cloth as RZA's most nightmarish experiments, and Bronson expertly treads water with his always-hilarious bars.
Quotable Lyrics:
Ass is like a donkey
I calmly tap a dime like Fonzie
Fly sweater Bill Cosby, vials of wobbly
Chronic diamonds in her I.V.
You Simple Simon rhymin', my shit is Tai Chi
Die a G, supply the fire weed, dispensary
My pitch is to get real upon entry
This can't be life, it's real, pinch me
No man can go against me, I squeeze the M16 intensely
