Since bursting onto the radars of rap blogs everywhere (and even some radio stations now!) with "U Guessed It," Atlanta's OG Maco has, with only a few exceptions, been actively bucking peoples' perceptions of him by releasing music that sounds nothing like his breakout hit. Save for "Want More" and "FUCKEMx3," OGG's been forsaking his high-octane, charmingly slurred act in favor of a more low-key, mumbly delivery, even foraying into auto-tune several times. His latest, "Sheesh," a collab with Johnny Cinco, sees him continuing that trend of less-aggressive music.
A remarkably smooth track, "Sheesh" continues to paint Maco as a multifaceted artist who refuses to be defined by his hit record.
Quotable Lyrics:
Bunch of cloudy rooms and you are never asked to question
Most shit is assumed and everybody want their blessing
We just trying to get our own salad, extra dressing
Yves St. Laurent, you can smell it when I'm sweatin'
