Shorty K is an up-and-coming rapper from the Chi who we've never featured as a solo artist before on the site, but today he teams up with longtime collaborator Sir Michael Rocks (if you've never heard their previous collab "Too Short Back," get hip to that). The Cool Kid joins him on the track "Livin."

Shorty K spits first, going in over an ebullient, piano-led composition and imbuing his bars with nice rhyme pattern. His hook is even more impressive, painting a vivid picture of his life in just a few words. Mikey Rocks hops on for the final verse, sounding unhinged and wild as ever. He might take the cake as far as these verses go, but this is an impressive outing for Shorty as well.
