Cozz dropped off his debut project, Cozz & Effect, on iTunes at Midnight. The new album from the Dreamville signee contains 12 joints, with J. Cole appearing on this remix of Cozz's "Can't Knock The Hustle." Fellow Dreamville rapper Bas also makes an appearance on the track "I Need That."
"Can't Knock The Hustle" has rich production, driven by a saxophone. The jazzy record is available to stream here, but head over to iTunes to get the full album and see what Cozz is really about. At first we thought this would be a mixtape, but it appears it's strictly a commercial release-- physical copies will also be made available on October 28th.
Check out Cozz's new visual from yesterday, "Cody Macc" here. You can also stream Cozz & Effect in full here.
Quotable Lyrics
Reminisce as we was kids, screamin' fuck a cop
Guess he took it serious, for me that shit was just for props
Arms too skinny to hug the block
I found comfort in my dreams
Of things seen on the screen, of fortune and fame
Decisions, decisions, the Porsche or the Range?
I take a trip back to the 'Ville only corpses remain
Some of them niggas still breathing but they dead inside
Victims of a genocide, tears fill my eyes
'Cause I been outta touch man, for way too long
I been out in Hollywood for way too long
I been gettin' this paper for way too long
I ain't call my pops back in way too long
