"Pet Sematary" is the name of a 1989 Stephen King novel, a subsequent film and a song by the Ramones. Today, a song by DJ Quik joins the ranks of things named "Pet Sematary." Taken from the Compton veteran's upcoming album, Midnight Life, the track is just the sort of slick, funky exercise that we've come to expect from Quik.
Complete with creepy cover artwork that apes the King novel, "Pet Sematary" is anything but a creepy song -- save for the intro, in which Quik suggests burying a foe in a pet cemetery. Otherwise, it's a classic-sounding joint bursting with horns, guitars and smokey keys.
