Although he hasn't had a full project drop since January's Never Content tape, DUBB has made sure to keep 2014 rife with new music of his, dropping off loosies at an alarming rate. After sharing a remix of DeJ Loaf's "Try Me" yesterday, the L.A. rapper returns just a day later with "Cartel," a track produced by EP for Boi-1da's freestyle series.
A low key, jazzy cut, "Cartel" sounds like "Griselda Blanco in her grave with a hundred ki's in her motherfucking coffin," according to DUBB himself. For the track's drums, EP sampled Allen Toussaint's "Get Out Of My Life, Woman," a favorite of boom-bappers everywhere.
Quotable Lyrics:
Fishtail, 'cause I'm movin' that fish scale
Turned on by the money, it's making my dick swell
Could get indicted from all this dope shit I'm writin'
That A1 perico, cocaina at its finest
