Not too many people heard of Dej Loaf’s “Try Me” track until Wiz Khalifa hopped on board and remixed it, but it was actually E-40 who gave the Detroit emcee her first co-sign and look via Twitter weeks before. After the song blew up in Northern Cali (and then rest of the states), 40 figured it was finally his time to hop on the track and spit some bars of his own for this remix.
The release comes just a few days after hearing E-40 featured on Big Sean’s new Hit-Boy & Kanye-produced banger “I Don’t Fuck With You”. Dej's track was once rumored to feature a verse from Drake, but that clearly hasn’t happened yet, and probably still wont.
Look for the official video for #TryMe to drop tomorrow (9/24).
Quotable Lyrics:
I used to play with the scale in the late 80’s
Reason why half of you was crack babies
That’s some shit that I aint proud of, I'm really not
Cause know they mixin’ with hero-in with the rock
