Secondhand Gunsmoke

"Secondhand Gunsmoke" is the latest from Your Old Droog.

One of the most intriguing tracks on Your Old Droog's debut EP, released three months ago, was "Gunsmoke Cologne," a breakneck salvo of twisted rhymes from the then-mysterious rapper. Today, the NY spitter drops a sequel called "Secondhand Gunsmoke."

Produced by J-Zone and Sacha Jenkins of Superblack, the track's instrumental is equally great as the original, but wow, Droog really steps up his rhyming game. Within seconds, he rhymes "queef" with "Captain Beefheart," and then proceeds to drop pop culture-referencing lines like "since Mexicans used to wear No Fear gear" and "give the drummer some like Pamela Lee."

Droog may not be Nas, but you'll have to forgive people for making that comparison.
