As a producer, Sipho The Gift produced Well$' "'98 Juvie" and co-produced his and King Mez's "Youth In Revolt Pt. 2," but now the South Africa native is stepping out on his own as an MC. Luckily, Well$ was on hand for a guest verse on "Somewhere," the first track that's been released from Sipho's upcoming debut mixtape, Coming Of Age.
With a buoyant, uplifting instrumental that recalls Native Tongues or early Souls Of Mischief, "Somewhere" finds the 21-year-old Sipho describing his come-up in South Africa. Well$ hops on the track's second half to spit a slick verse where he accuses a rival of pirating "flows like Davey Jones on the Seven Seas."
