Check out a new jam from Kaytranada's Celestics side project, "173 (pipo version)."

As an electronic producer, Kaytranada's music has always been a little indebted to hip-hop and R&B, despite its faster tempos and occasional use of EDM signifiers. He's even produced for rappers such as GoldLink, Vic Mensa and (most surprisingly) Mobb Deep. But where the Montreal beatsmith really lets his hip-hop side shows is in The Celestics, a side project with his brother Louie P.

Back in May, we shared a track from The Celstics' Supreme Laziness mixtape, and now they've shared their first track since that tape dropped. "173 (pipo version)" also features Michigan rapper Waldo, and has a similar type of air-raid craziness as Vince Staples' recent track "Blue Suede."

Quotable Lyrics:

Kidnap her, never talk to the pigs, pig latin
We all die one day, don't shit matter
But I'm 'bout to stack anyway
In case some shit happen
