The last time we heard something new from Harlem's Dave East, he was going in over Drake's "0 To 100," so it's only fitting that his follow up track is a freestyle over the other track that's competing for "most Summer freestyles" this year, Bobby Shmurda's "Hot Nigga."
Titling his version an "EastMix," Dave East spends some of his bars repping his incarcerated homie Trav and big-upping his recent project Black Rose, while also taking the time to let us know that "molly powder and Dasani got me tweakin' hoe." He clearly had some fun interpolating Shmurda's original lyrics, and in doing so, created a unique take on "Hot Nigga."
Quotable Lyrics:
Trappin' like the '80s, think I'm Richard Porter
"Black Rose" dropped, now I can hit your daughter
Woke up in the kitchen tryin' to whip a quarter
Charlie locked in Jacksonville, I'm tryin' to get to Florida
