Curren$y the Hot Spitta is known for his mixtape game. In fact, just this past weekend he surprised fans with a little mixtape Saturday Night Car Tunes, which made us reminisce on all the dope projects Spitta has put out in the past, both commercial and free. Specifically, we're taking things back to the New Orleans rapper's first independently-released album This Ain't No Mixtape from 2009. Since parting ways with YMCMB in 2007 Curren$y managed to find his own lane, a lane which not many rappers have been able to enter since-- he remains underground yet he has a large and loyal following, and he refuses to compromise his smoke-able vibes for radio play.
"Elevator Muzik" was (and still is) the shit, Spitta's flow was on point.
Quotable Lyrics
Moves get made, more funds to raise
Niggas wanna get paid, get high, get laid
And repeat those steps in that order everyday
My name in these streets, my name is my name
