Before Jermaine was J Cole, he went under the name Therapist and was an inspiring artist out of Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a youngin’, he was mentored by two local artists, Filthe Ritch & Nervous Reck, who have kept some old unreleased cuts from Jermaine in their vaults. Well today, Nervous Reck decided to give J Cole Nation the green the light to premiere one of those unreleased tracks in “The Ojays”.
The track was recorded way back before Cole hit fame, but still shows off his undeniable talent. In a statement with the release, Nervous Reck said he's got more where this comes from too.
“Cole has several songs on both of my mixtapes that most people have never heard. I’ve never put them on the net. They were hard copies only. So only a small amount of people have them. I’ve been planning on putting them back out but, I just don’t want everyone to think I’m back rapping again, hahaha.” - Nervous Reck
Listen to the unreleased cut, and let us know what ya think!
