Back in May, singer / songwriter Jazmine Sullivan got a big look from Meek Mill on the single "Dumb" (as well as its Muppet-featuring video), but on her new track, she's back to show us that she's perfectly capable of going solo dolo as well. Accompanied only by an acoustic guitar, some angelic backing vocals and sparse handclaps, Sullivan shares a ballad called "Forever Don't Last."
In the melancholy ballad, Sullivan lets her pipes do all of the heavy lifting, spanning octaves and genres with their soulful timbre.
Like "Dumb," "Forever Don't Last" will be featured on Jazmine Sullivan's upcoming album, titled Reality Show.
Quotable Lyrics:
I had high hopes for us, baby
Like I was on dope for us, baby
Chasin' after a high that I'll never
Get back again
