CRASHprez has released a haunting new track in wake of the events that took place in Ferguson earlier this month. "Leave A Note" honors not only Michael Brown, but also Eric Garner, Kajieme Powell, and other black men who have been victims of injustice.
August 28th also happens to mark the memorial of Emmitt Till's lynching in 1955, as well as the March on Washington in 1963. Thus, CRASHprez also includes a quote from Martin Luther King in the closing moments of the song,
"Leave A Note" will serve as the second single from the rapper's upcoming More Perfect project, which will see release by the year's end on the CATCH WRECK imprint.
Quotable Lyrics:
You see blood on the leaves
But you're blind to the blade
All the fruit on the trees
Bet you won't try a taste
All the youth in the street
They gon' find a way
You see blood on the leaves
But you're blind to the blade
All the fruit on the trees
Bet you won't try a taste
All the youth in the street
They gon' find a way
