Back in June, Rah Digga teamed up with hip-hop titan Chuck D for a powerful, artists' rights track called "Storm Comin'." Now she's found a similarly pissed-off, but much younger, rapper to hop on the remix: Jon Connor.
An anti-mainstream ode that proclaims "word to my indie niggas" and invites listeners to "rage against the machine," "Storm Comin'" bears a SoundCloud description that wittily compares Digga to Terminator's Sarah Connor:
"You know we had to do a remix right? What better recruit for Sarah Connor fightin the machines than Jon Connor himself!!"
Capped off by a monologue from Chuck himself, this is a very powerful, hard-hitting track.
Quotable Lyrics:
Look, momma thanks for the goddess
I'm normally private, I'm breakin' my silence
I'm strivin' to break into the game and maintain and survive it
Couldn't nine to five it, early on I seen this was my calling
