After all nine living members showed up to "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" last night to perform a new song, The Wu-Tang Clan have now shared the official version of "Ron O'Neal." Taken from their upcoming album A Better Tomorrow, the song features verses from Method Man, Ghostface Killah, RZA and a sung hook (most likely by their frequent collaborator Nathaniel).
The beat is classic RZA, with in-the-pocket percussion, organ, horns and an eastern-sounding guitar driving the powerful comeback track. The hook may seem a little out-of-place when you consider The Wu's gritty beginnings (where a few aggressive words shouted in unison usually counted as a hook), but we'll allow you to be the judge of that.
Quotable Lyrics:
A few staircase murders, some burners don't blam right
Guns that peek around the wall, you better stand tight
4X, AKs, wylin' in lobbies
Bulletproof PJ's
Fuck around and get spun like a DJ
CSI traumatized by viewin' the instant replay
