Something Epic

Maino and Troy Ave cook up "Something Epic."

It's no secret that both Maino and Troy Ave will go far, far out of their way to let you know that they're from NY, and that NY is where hip-hop was born, and they're "bringing NY back." This time around, that sentiment unmistakably manifests itself in the form of some very elaborate beat jacking.

"Something Epic," the pair's new collabo, cops classic beats from Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim, Fat Joe, Nas and the Wu-Tang Clan, and pits its stars against each other as they trade bars in a pretty thrilling bit of microphone acrobatics.

Look for this on Maino's upcoming project, King Of Brooklyn 2.

Quotable Lyrics:

Your reign on the top was short like midget legs
I crush all these so-called thugs like Easter eggs
Wild beef, still pack heat like winter days
With my hands on the next man's wife like we engaged

- Maino
