Flawless

Raekwon spits over a Luther Vandross instrumental on "Flawless."

For the past seven weeks, Raekwon has been doing a "TBT" series that involves him freestyling over old school R&B jams. Following verses atop songs by Rose Royce, The Isley Brothers, Teena Marie, The Spinners and more, his latest installment, "Flawless," pits him against Luther Vandross' 1988 jam "For You To Love."

Beginning with a little tease of Willie Hutch's "I Choose You" ("Int'l Player's Anthem," anyone?), "Flawless" finds Rae dancing nimbly over the dated, but no less classic, production. After one verse, we get a little Vandross to take us out, followed by a brief sample from the 1988 film (way to be consistent and sample two things from the same year!) "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka."

Quotable Lyrics:

Enlighten your mind, I'm writin' in times
When the youth reach real situations and they thoughts are blind
You know when I flow, the moment is fine
Glass of wine, new elegance, the breeze just pass through the mind
