Though today's already seen one Wale guest spot on a smaller artist's track (Black Cobain's "Lost Files"), it seems that the MMG rapper isn't finished with his co-signs for the day. He's now teamed up with Magazeen for a third time to release "My Town."
Preceded by "Keep Running Back" and this year's "Twerkin Cyrus," the latest collabo between Wale and the Jamaican artist is a triumphant ode to Magazeen's place of origin. The track is a pretty straightforward hybrid of reggae and rock, with a traditional beat and horn section aided by a ballsy electric guitar. Wale again proves himself to be a very versatile artist, spitting with ease over production that's out of his comfort zone.
Quotable Lyrics:
There's a reason to never love a nigga
And we could never trust a bitch or no politician
That's why I spittin' tryna get it anyway I'm livin'
Patriotism ain't beneficial, nigga wear your pistol
