Listen to Joe Budden and Ransom's "Vietnam."

It's been a while since we've heard original solo material from Joe Budden, who's recently been more focused on Slaughterhouse and the group's accompanying cypher series. But now the time has come for him to unveil his new single, and it's a doozy. "Vietnam" features Ransom and is just the sort of grimy, lyrics-first track we've come to expect from the guy who has (arguably) hip-hop's most revered beard.

With artwork that borrows from Full Metal Jacket and an instrumental based around a dusty soul sample, this is Budden at his retro-leaning finest, crafting a track that could have believably dropped one or two decades ago. Some things (like Budden's beard and skills) are timeless.

Quotable Lyrics:

Vodka and tonic got me thinkin' like prophet Muhammad
I'm not an Islamic, I'm a product of coppin' narcotics I'm hot as a comet
Hoes give me top 'til they vomit, somethin' exotic
Caribbean, Dominican goddess, this shit is symbolic

- Ransom
